Responsibilities:
• Assess the customer infrastructure regarding Azure migration and help them in understanding cloud cost, compatibility, migration roadmap
• Deploy and Configure Azure VMWare Solution
• Configure networking for Azure VMWare Solution using NSX-T
• Configure storage policies for vSAN and vSAN management
• Configure VM placement policies
• Configure HCX and migrate servers to Azure VMWare Solution using HCX
• Configure disk pools for additional capacity
• Migrate customer infrastructure to Azure VMWare Solution
• Configure backup for virtual machines running on Azure VMWare Solution
• Setup disaster recovery using VMWare Site Recovery Manager
• Move virtual machines between nodes
• Deploy and configure Horizon virtual desktop environment on Azure VMWare Solution
• Migrate Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure from on-prem VMWare to Azure VMWare Solution
Requirements
• 5 years of experience with VMWare Virtualization, vSAN Management, vMotion, VMWare HCX Migrations, VMWare SRM, Active Directory & DNS Management, Backup
• Certified in following
• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
• VMware Certified Network Administrator (VCP-NSX)
• Ability to setup of resource pools and a VMware Distributed Resources Scheduler (DRS) cluster, Resource Management, Resource Monitoring along with VMware High Availability (HA) cluster
• Proven experience in ESX Server Installation and configuration of virtual switches, network connections and port groups to configure Storage
• Expertise in Virtual Center Installation and configuration and Installation of its components Perform Level 3 Support ESXi Operating system
• Demonstrable experience in Install / Upgrade ESXi platform environment
• Validated understanding to support Level 3 OS monitoring Client Software, Backup and Recovery client, Client Software, automated Security, health checking client, OS monitoring
• Specific knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESX 6.5 and higher, as well Windows server 2008 – 2016 platform(s) required
• Experience with following migration tools o vMotion o HCX
• Experience with following disaster recovery tools o Site Recovery Manager o Veeam
• Experience with the following backup tools o Veeam/Commvault
• Experience with the following virtual desktop Services o Horizon o Citrix
• Experience with PowerShell/Python scripting
