SNP Technologies Attends Microsoft Inspire 2017 in Washington DC

Microsoft Inspire 2017

SNP attended the Microsoft Inspire 2017, the largest event of the year for Microsoft partners. Microsoft Inspire, formerly known as the Worldwide Partner Conference, held from July 9-13 in Washington, D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center with more than 18,000 partners representatives, from 140 different countries.

This was the 5th time SNP Technologies participated in Microsoft Annual Partner Conference, where we met and talked with many Microsoft partners, attended many live demos during the event that exceeded our expectations. It was a unique opportunity to shape new partnerships that have the power to lead the way to digital transformation, and it was a full week of networking, learning, and collaboration.

Here are some of our takeaways from the event:

The event began with Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft emphasising on the Microsoft mission statement – “Our mission is to empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more” During the keynote Satya stated they want to make every organisation more productive and efficient, by focussing on 3 major technology shifts over the next few years.

  1. User experience will be multi-device and multi-sense. We’ve all known about multi device for some years, but now we are also talking about multi sense access across multi devices.
  2. Artificial Intelligence is going to be increasingly important and is going to provide organisations with a lot more data and analytics with which to make decisions.
  3. All data is going to require “serverless” computing as more and more devices will be intelligence enabled.

To align these technology shifts, Microsoft is aligning their solutions into four pillars associated with Digital Transformation, Modern Workplace, Business Applications, Applications & Infrastructure and Data & AI.

It was an exciting week for all of us, and we look forward to Microsoft Inspire 2018 in Las Vegas.
